Why join U3A?

U3A membership is open to anyone who is over 50 years of age and is retired or semi-retired from the workforce.*

Membership gives you access to:

  • our wide range of courses, covering languages, politics, history, physical activities, games and much more
  • social activities such as Forums, Let's Do groups and ad hoc events
  • a regular ebulletin via email that will keep you up-to-date on courses, events and external offers and opportunities
  • the stimulating company of a large group of like-minded fellow members.

You can participate in all that U3A Melbourne City offers by:

  • becoming a member
  • volunteering - once you are a member, you can offer to run a course or activity or to help out in the office or other administrative area
  • supporting us - with a one-off or ongoing donation

* VCAT has exempted U3A Melbourne City from the age discrimination section of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.
