Tutor: History of the World; Philosophy - The Basics; Wisdom of the Ages

Chris developed a lifelong passion for Greek and Roman history and philosophy as a 14 year-old schoolboy after reading about Leonidas, King of Sparta, and the Battle of Thermopylae.

He has an Honours degree in philosophy and history as well as an education graduate diploma and taught history and religious education at a variety of secondary colleges. He has been a volunteer tutor at U3A for many years.

Over his career, he has amassed an impressive library of over 800 volumes on philosophy, theology and history, supplemented by an equally impressive video library.

Chris describes his philosophical orientation as Stoic/Epicurean.
