Enrolments are only open to current financial members of U3A Melbourne City. Members must always enrol through the office, which manages class rolls and waiting lists.
- Enrolment in Year-long Courses: In November each year, we publish full details of year-long courses for the following year, and start accepting applications for places. Allocation of places takes place in January.
Some ongoing courses have devoted students who continue from year to year. To join one of these usually involves some time on a waiting list. However, we try to be fair in allocating places between old and new members.
Many year-long courses are full when they start in February, but as the year goes on, vacancies often occur and are filled from waiting lists, or by new members.
- Enrolment in Short courses is very easy. A new selection is advertised in each newsletter, and you can enrol by telephone, email or in person. Short courses are filled on a first-come first-served basis. If you miss out, there will often be a repeat of a popular course later in the year.
