Tony Page

Lecturing in:  Great Plays of the 20th Century (2012)

Melbourne born in 1952, Tony has wide experience as a teacher, writer and director. He’s just returned from 20 years in South East Asia, where he was Head of Performing Arts at an international school; encountering students of many ages and nationalities. He’s mounted productions of Shakespeare, Beckett and Brecht among others, in addition to writing several plays himself.

A published poet with three books to his credit, he has lectured on Australian Literature in Europe, USA and Malaysia; plus conducting workshops in creative writing for adults. He’s travelled to some wild places, including the Namibian and Gobi deserts. Fascinated by history, philosophy and languages, he is committed to learning as a life-long adventure; most recently experimenting with painting in acrylics.
