Paul Boland
Currently tutoring in:  Intermediate French

In 1968 after strategically quitting a Sydney University Law degree, this fervent francophile sailed for France and found himself immersed in the seething student revolution in Paris where he managed to spend a night with the rebellious students in a Parisian gaol. Getting the taste for the nightlife, the following two years were spent enjoying what Paris had to offer, at the same time perfecting his French and teaching English at Lycees Condorcet and Colbert. Europe in the seventies was very seductive so it was not till several years later that he was lured back to marvellous Melbourne in 1977. A later Honours degree in 1997 at Newcastle University and post-graduate studies at the Universite de Franche Comte in Besancon left him with the excitement of imparting his knowledge of the French and their culture to enthusiastic students at Flinders Street U3A. With stimulating discussion of all things French, this Intermediate Level Class pours itself into vocal gymnastics while discovering the joy of grammar! This is a fitting class for those who want to enjoy the French language.
