John Stirling

John Stirling, a retired secondary school teacher, has served as a
councillor on the South Melbourne Council, the National Trust and the Victorian National Parks Association.
 
He is currently a member of the Port Phillip Urban Heritage Consultative Committee and has now been appointed to the Tree Policy Community Reference Group.
 
He is also involved with two major Victorian landscape change tree-planting projects: Project Hindmarsh and Grow West, where two million trees have been planted so far, over a period of 12 years.
 

John is a keen bushwalker, traveller and theatre goer. He also enjoys a wide variety of craftwork and time spent with his extended family, including four grandchildren.
