Tutoring in: Fashion
My career began in textiles as a trainee designer before moving into graphic art. Over the next 15 years I took on the role of Artistic Director for a leading supermarket chain. My interests included jewellery through to wall murals.
I completed a Bachelor of Education at The University of Melbourne and then taught Art and Visual Communications for a further 13 years. During this time I developed my interest and knowledge of shoemaking and millinery. After several exhibitions I was invited to England by professional milliner, Pamela Bromley, to further my mastery in hat making. I launched my own label, still operational, in 2000 and in 2005 after acquiring a Diploma in Art at RMIT, added visual merchandising and store design to my portfolio.
I have also volunteered my services to varied amateur dramatic theatre companies for the design and production of costumes.
For the past 40 years I have been a prolific producer of artwork and have exhibited widely.
I look forward to sharing my knowledge with interested members.
